My AIESEC, My Experience

Privyet!
My name is Kania Rahma Nureda. I’m from Indonesia. Now it’s time for me to share my experience in AIESEC.
In September 2012, I applied Lead program in AIESEC. Lead program is an open recruitment program from AIESEC Undip Indonesia once in a year. I’m so exited to apply this program. Because, I was graduated from senior high school and I applied this at the 1st semester. I hear that AIESEC is an international organization that will develop my soft skill potential and I also I can contact with another world. To be accepted as a member in AIESEC is not easy. For example,  in 2012 the students who applied this program is 1000 students in my LC ! And the students who accepted is just 200 students. I’m so lucky, cause I’m one of many students who passed that selection. Then, AIESEC Undip have an allocation department for new members. I choose Project GCDP as my department.
In 2013, I took GCDP program (exchange student). In Indonesia, the program name is Global Youth Ambassador Program. This program is for winter realization (January-March 2014). I applied to go to Tomsk, Russia. Before I accepted in Tomsk. Honestly, I don’t know where is Tomsk. I never predict before I accepted in Tomsk. Tomsk is located in Siberia! It means that it will be so cold, especially this is winter realization! It’s so challenging for me.
My project is International Kindergarten. This project is about teaching English and culture for children in Kindergarten. I’m so surprised that I must teach children who cant speak English. They are just use Russian. But they are really cute. My teachers in kindergarten are really kind also. They always talked to me about everything everyday. They always waited me if I went to school everyday. And also gave me some foods and talked about Russian culture.
When I was exchange, I met my friend. His name is Roma. He is responsible for me, about project, teaching, communication in school and anything. He is so kind. Hope that we can meet soon. I also met the other students from the other country like China, Brazil, Egypt, Colombia, India and Indonesia also.
I tried a new thing like touch snows everyday, ice skate, snow boarding, foods, culture, Russian building and museum, theatre in Russian language and many more.
Exchange. It was the best experience in my life. I will never forget it. In exchange, I can develop mt leadership skill, English skill, living diversity with different culture, expand my network and try a new thing. Russia is not a big country, but Russia is really really big country.
After I exchange, I felt that AIESEC help me to improve my potential. AIESEC is the best platform for me. So, I did not think to much to re-integrated  my career in AIESEC. I applied as an Organizing Committee logistic in National Health & Lifestyle Project. To join in this project, I met new friends, new knowledge. For example : marketing skill, stress management, team management and also met people from the others country. Because this is PBOX project. I met friend from Vietnam , Germany, India, The Philipphine, and China. This project started from April-July 2014.
After this project, I applied for Manager in AIESEC. I applied in OGCDP department (exchange department). My position in AIESEC now is Manager System for South East Asia & Expansion Region. I responsible for make international relation between LC Undip with the other LC in South East Asia & Expansion country. I help Exhange participant who want to go exchange. Hope that I can finish my role in AIESEC with so many learning. I will give the best, form the best.

Regards, Kania Rahma Nureda.
